Smecta is anti-diarrheal, coating and gastroprotective remedy of natural origin. Smecta possesses potent absorbing and protective action on intestinal mucous lining. Smecta is characterized by a high level of flowability of its components and excellent coating ability.
Smecta stabilizes mucous barrier, protects it from negative effects of H+ ions, bile acid, hydrochloric acid, microorganisms and their toxins. In therapeutic doses it does not affect gastrointestinal motility.
Indications:
Smecta is indicated in the following conditions:
- Acute and chronic diarrhea
- Symptomatic treatment of pains associated with the diseases of the esophagus, stomach (esophagitis, gastroduodenitis), duodenum and large intestine, intestinal colics.
